Job Title: General Ledger Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Ledger Manager to oversee the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company’s general ledger and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GL accounting, month-end and year-end closing processes, and familiarity with accounting standards such as GAAP and IFRS. This role involves managing a team of accountants and supporting audit preparation and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company’s general ledger and financial reporting.
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and lead a team of accountants.
Assist in audit preparation and drive process improvements within the finance department.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
Work Experience:
Preferably a CPA (Certified Public Accountant), but not required
Minimum 2 to 4 years of work experience in both auditing firms and private industry
At least 2 to 4 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity (leading GL or accounting teams)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong background and knowledge in General Ledger (GL) accounting
Proficient in month-end and year-end closing procedures
Skilled in account reconciliations
Familiar with GAAP and IFRS standards
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
