JOB SUMMARY

The Operating Room Aide supports the surgical team by ensuring that the operating room environment is prepared and maintained for surgical procedures. The role involves transporting patients, maintaining sterile conditions, and assisting with the setup and breakdown of operating rooms. The OR Aide plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical services.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance of cleanliness and orderliness of the entire operating room
Provide assistance to the nurses in OR procedures with efficiency
Provide non-medical, basic patient care under the direct supervision of an OR Nurse
Maintenance of OR’s premises, facilities and equipment
Responsible for picking up and dropping off of instruments, supplies and medicines from other branches, sending specimens to the labs, purchasing medicines for the OR and patients
